July 5, 2023 – Gotodoctor.ca, a leading integrated healthcare services provider for Canadian enterprises, is pleased to announce its new partnership with Rexall, a leading drugstore operator with approximately 400 pharmacies across Canada.

Gotodoctor.ca and Rexall will co-invest to create a unique Hub and Spoke physician care distribution channel, which consists of an in-person clinic acting as the Hub, supporting multiple Rexall drugstores. Each of the Rexall drugstore, as a spoke, will subscribe to Gotodoctor.ca and be able to connect virtually for physician service. It will also be able to transition patients from pure virtual care to comprehensive in-person care by referring them to the dedicated in-person clinic Hub. This seamless physician service model significantly increases the number of patients an in-person clinic can support by multiple folds and is an extension of the already established 200+ Gotodoctor.ca CareBridge virtual pharmacy clinics across Canada. The first implementation of this new model will be located at one of the Rexall drugstores in Ontario and Gotodoctor.ca is rolling this model nationwide.

Today, Gotodoctor.ca connects approximately a million Canadians from coast to coast to an outstanding primary care platform that goes beyond virtual care and enables patients to receive comprehensive care from physicians, pharmacists, and other health professionals. Major Canadian corporations, insurance companies, and TPAs, like Manitoba Blue Cross, Novartis Canada, Green Benefits, Simply Benefits, and Automated Administration Services, and McKesson Retail Banner Group (IDA, Guardian and Remedy’sRx pharmacies), see this advantage and are now joining in its digital employee services and technology offerings.
