Ask your question here opens and operates a COVID-19, Cold and Flu Clinic in Georgina for Southlake Community OHT

Published March 16, 2022

March 16, (Teledact Inc.), a leading provider of virtual and primary care services in Canada, and Enhanced Care Clinic are pleased to announce the partnership with the Southlake Community Ontario Health Teams (“Southlake Community OHT”), on the opening of a new Covid-19, Cold, and Flu Care Clinic in Georgina, on March 17, 2022. The clinic is available in evenings and weekends, and allows patients to book appointments online directly.

The clinic will be operated by Southlake Community OHT partner Enhanced Care Clinic and and will be staffed by physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals from the local communities. The clinic is not a COVID-19 assessment centre, but focuses on providing in-person care for those experiencing moderate cold, flu, or COVID-like symptoms, a service that is not offered by most in-person clinics and is particularly difficult to access in the rural or underserved areas.

“Virtual care alone is often insufficient when providing comprehensive primary care or managing complex conditions. Recognizing the needs for patients with symptoms to access in-person care, our experienced team is proud to be selected as a partner in operating and supporting this meaningful initiative,” says Tommy Cheung, CEO/President, Enhanced Care Clinic and “Special thanks to Southlake Community OHT, the Georgina community, local physicians and our medical team for making this possible.”

The Southlake Community Ontario Health Team ( is a partnership of healthcare organizations that provide a wide range of high-quality healthcare services to the residents of northern York Region and southern Simcoe County. An Ontario Health Team (OHT) is a group of healthcare providers who work together to deliver connected care to the communities they serve. OHTs were established under the new Connecting Care Act.
