TORONTO, Ontario, May 24, 2023 – Gotodoctor.ca (“Gotodoctor.ca” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce Ms. Cheryl Kerr, Founder & Managing Director of MedEx Health Services Inc, has joined its Advisory Board (the “Board”).

On May 5, 2023, Ms. Kerr, Managing Director of MedEx Health Services, commenced her appointment as an advisor to the Company. Ms. Kerr brings with her a deep network and extensive experience in the healthcare services segments of Home Healthcare and Disability Management. 

Ms. Kerr joins an Advisory Board composed of a diverse group of healthcare leaders with valuable experience and expertise. The Board leverages its comprehensive knowledge across biotech, health technology, patient care, insurance and employee benefits fields to help support the success of Gotodoctor.ca through its in-person, in-pharmacy and consumer virtual care platforms.

Ms. Kerr brings to the Advisory Board a wealth of experience in outpatient care, and ambulatory services, with an emphasis on coordinating and implementing rehabilitation and care services. She leads Ontario’s only accredited Black female-owned and operated, full-service rehabilitation and home healthcare company, catering to a diverse client base.

An active philanthropist and community advocate, Ms. Kerr is dedicated to supporting organizations that provide service and care to those who are less fortunate. She is a 2023 Bob Marley Humanitarian Award honoree. 

Ms. Kerr is the 2020 recipient of the BBPA’s Harry Jerome female entrepreneur business Award as well as a 2020 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women (100 ABC) Honoree.  She was recognized by the RBC Champions for Women in 2006, and also received The National African American Insurance Association Award in 2007. She has established a distinguished reputation with various professional organizations, such as the Ontario Brain Injury Association, the Canadian Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Association, Homecare Ontario and The Black Physicians Association of Ontario.
